MTN ESWATINI INVESTS E600,000 IN SCHOOLS INFRASTRUCTURE REHABILITATION

Swazi MTN through the MTN Foundation has assisted the Ministry of Education and Training by contributing an amount totalling six hundred and ninety thousand emalangeni towards the provision and rehabilitation of infrastructure in schools around the country. The infrastructure provided ranged from the provision of water through the installation of boreholes, rehabilitation of dilapidated infrastructure and construction of new structures. The project was implemented through the Micro Projects Coordination Unit.
MTN FOUNDATION PARTNERS WITH JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT

The #MTNFoundation partnered with Junior Achievement Swaziland to implement the Vocational Entrepreneurship Program for graduating students at the Swaziland Skills Centres. A program that bridges the digital gap by training the participants on e-commerce.

LAUNCH OF MTN FOUNDATION’S 21 DAYS OF Y’ELLO CARE WITH US AMBASSADOR

As part of this year’s 21 Days of Y’ello Care campaign, the U.S. Embassy, through the Public Affairs Section, is providing two eGranary Digital Libraries to two rural schools. They provide instant access to over 32 million digital resources, including educational materials, videos, books, journals, and websites. The MTN Foundation and its partners, including the Government of the Kingdom of Swaziland, are sending a strong message about people’s right to access information. The UN recognizes that the foundation for strong societies begins with an informed and educated public – and for this reason, access to information has been recognized in the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
