MTN, SEDCO LAUNCH NEW RADIO PROGRAMME
THE Small Enterprises Development Company (SEDCO) has revived its partnership with MTN Eswatini through a new radio programme called Cija Ngebhizinisi. The programme was officially launched yesterday at the MTN Eswatini headquarters (Mahlalekhukhwini house). MTN CEO Ambrose Dlamini said partnerships had helped his company to leverage on competitive advantage, pooled resources and maximised impact. The partnership, according to Dlamini, has been made possible through the company’s corporate social responsibility wing-the MTN foundation.
Dlamini said the radio show seeks to support upcoming enterprises with an assortment of skills, business knowledge and information. The programme falls under the pillar of enterprise development and is expected to be on air for a space of 18 weeks. According to Dlamini through the radio programme selected beneficiaries may access seed capital funding which is meant to encourage members of the public to tune in each week.
The SEDCO and Swazi MTN partnership according to Dlamini is out of an active MoU signing that happened between the two entities.
Dlamini also said the partnership will make it possible for SMEs, under SEDCOs incubation programme, to have access to MTN business solution packages. The packages, according to Dlamini, are useful in a sense that upcoming enterprises are enabled to scale up their competitiveness. In addition, Dlamini said the partnership also covers connectivity for SMEs as well as an exploration of applications that will assist upcoming businesses to manage financial transactions properly and market their businesses.
